Kane hails Jose Mourinho for his recent form

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane says his recent top performance narrows down to Jose Mourinho's influence and a mindset with the squad.

Kane has been in fine form this season as he has been involved in 23 goals for Tottenham in all competitions this campaign. The England international reached the 200-goal mark recently and now has 201 goals in 301 appearances for the north London side.

Speaking to PA news agency, Kane said, "We've got a long, long way to go. A long old season."

"I think, as proven in my career so far, it takes a lot to get over the line. We haven't quite done that yet. We've been close a few times so we know there's going to be a lot of hard work from now until then to do that."

"It's been a good start. Obviously, we lost the first game against Everton which was disappointing, but since then we've been unbeaten in the league."

"Even the dropped points we had against West Ham and Newcastle with last-minute goals should have been wins from our point of view. Look, we're playing well. I still think that we can improve and get better but obviously we're second in the league. We're in November, there's still a lot of games to play, but we're in a good spot."

Spurs, who are currently second on the log with 17 points will be playing hosts to Manchester City this Saturday in a Premier League encounter.
