Reiss Nelson could potentially replace Nicolas Pepe in Arsenal's next three fixtures

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes Reiss Nelson could be the ideal replacement for Nicolas Pepe ahead of the Gunners' clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Pepe was shown a red card and sent off in Arsenal's 0-0 stalemate with Leeds United on Sunday evening.

The Ivory Coast international will now miss the next three fixtures and Mikel Arteta has a huge decision ahead of him with his selection.

Campbell insists Nelson is the right player to step to the plate and feels he has done in enough for Arteta to consider him.

He told Highbury Squad: “You could bring in Reiss Nelson to play on that right-hand side. I thought Reiss Nelson did pretty well when he came on.

“He worked very hard, and it was down to 10 men. Listen, any player who is going to pull on that shirt has to put a shift in. That’s the bare minimum, and Reiss Nelson has done that.”
