Tottenham Hotspur could welcome back Hugo Lloris, Giovani Lo Celso, and Steven Bergwijn when they take on Chelsea this Sunday.
Lloris, Lo Celso, and Steven all missed out on Tottenham's 4-0 win over Ludogorets on Thursday night through injury. According to reports, Lo Celso picked up a small knock during training, and Mourinho is expected the forward and the other two stars to be available for selection.
"I want to believe yes. We could push but we didn’t want to risk, and this 12 players on the bench [in European games] gives you space for everything," said the Spurs boss.
The three players added to the injuries to Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela, who will both miss the game at Stamford Bridge.
"It gives even you space to have a 16-year-old kid in there and give him a chance to make history with Tottenham. So with 12 players - Aurier right-back, Reguilon left-back, Dier CB, Sissoko midfielder, you have players in every position, that’s very good."
When asked further about what had prompted him to leave the trio out of the match, he added: "Little things. Things that if I wanted to push, if I wanted to risk a little bit they could do it [in the Ludogorets match]."
