Gor Mahia stand-in coach Sammy Omollo is confident his side can turn around things when they host APR FC in the return leg of the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
Gor Mahia will welcome APR in the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium. K'Ogalo suffered a 2-1 loss in the hands of APR in the first leg in a match staged in Kigali last weekend.
Sefu Niyonzima opened the scoring for APR before Kenneth Muguna leveled the scores for the visiting side. Andrew Juma put the ball into his own net, handing the Rwandese side advantage ahead of the return leg.
Omollo is positive the Green Army will overcome the deficit and advance to the next stage of the competition.
"We are all motivated with the result and away from goal, we scored in Kigali last weekend. And with what I have seen in the team so far, I believe we can qualify to the next round," the tactician told the club's official website after Saturday's training session at Nyayo Stadium.
"We know how important that match is to us and the good thing is that Benson Omalla is back in the team. We all know what the youngster can bring in the team; energy lethality. He will be key for us tomorrow."
"But we need to have a top-class defending and make good use of our chances. When we played in Kigali, we looked dangerous and created several chances that I believe on Saturday will not be different. If we do the right things then we will win the match."
The match will kick off at 4:00 PM EAT and will be live on KBC.
