Sterling fires at last as City ease past Fulham

For the first time this season, Manchester City have won back-to-back games in the Premier League, with Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne finding the back of the net.

Of course, the Cityzens controlled the game, with 17+ shots on target, despite only scoring twice.

For the first goal, Fulham gave the ball away to De Bruyne in midfield and he charged through on goal. He then slipped Sterling in behind Anderson who kept his cool and rolled one into the far corner.

The second goal for Guardiola's men came in the 26th minute, via a de Bruyne penalty.

Anderson, at fault for the first goal, dangled a leg in Sterling's direction who jinked cleverly away from him. It was soft but still a penalty.

The visitors did nothing to trouble Ederson in the City goal, and if he had a paper, he would have finished reading through it.

Nothing came his way and Scott Parker's men were blunt.

Next up for City is Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday, and then that Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday 12 December.

The Cityzens move up to fourth with a comfortable win, while Fulham will take encouragement from how they prevented City from adding to their total in the second half but the truth is it doesn't get any easier for Scott Parker's side, who face Liverpool on Sunday, December 13.
