πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ KPL: Wins for AFC Leopards and Sofapaka as Rangers hold Homeboyz

The Kenyan Premier League continued on Sunday with four games taking place across different pitches in the country.

At Kasarani, AFC Leopards made it two wins out of two after overcoming newbies Bidco United 2-0 where striker Elvis Rupia scored all the goals.

Bidco had matched their opponents for the better part of the first half and almost took the lead if Piston Mutamba's strike didn't brush John Oyemba's post minutes to the break. But Leopards came back a different team in the second half and after some changes from coach Anthony Kimani, Rupia was to give them a lead in the 70th minute before doubling his and his side's tally five minutes from time in what was his third goal of the season.

At the Wundayi Stadium-Taita, 2009 KPL champions Sofapaka FC made light work of visiting Western Stima by emerging 3-1 winner in the day.

Captain Ellie Asieche was to bag a brace with his second coming from the penalty. Stima had reduced the arrear through keeper Samuel Odhiambo, who like Asieche, converted from the spot but Kepha Aswani ensured the hosts preserved their two-goal cushion with a goal in stoppage time.

At the Bukhungu Stadium-Kakamega, hosts Kakamega Homeboyz were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Posta Rangers. Sammy Odero had given Rangers a half time lead but Homeboyz captain Allan Wanga came with what proved to be an important goal 15 minutes from time.

The game between Tusker FC and Bandari FC that took place at Nairobi's Utalii Grounds ended in a scoreless draw.
