UEL: Arsenal youngsters get the job done against Dundalk

Arsenal youngsters got the job done against Dundalk with a 4-2 victory that saw the Gunners' 100 percent winning record in the Europa League group stages this season.

There were some wonderful goals and debuts for the visitors, while Dundalk added two goals of their own in their final game of the season.

Arsenal took the lead inside twelve minutes of play through Eddie Nketiah, who got a slice of lack after Dundalk defender saw his clearance stopped by the England youngster. The forward dinked the finish over the goalkeeper, netting his second goal of the Europa League against the hosts.

The Gunners grabbed the second six minutes later through Mohamed Elneny. The north London side had some patient stuff around the Dundalk area before Smith-Rowe had a little lay-off to Elneny who scored from outside the box.

Dundalk pulled one back and it was another hit in the game from Flores. He played a quick give-and-go with Duffy before sending a thunderous, diagonal effort into the far corner to give Dundalk a bit of hope of a result against Arsenal.

Willock scored the third for the Gunners from a close range after Dundalk defenders failed to clear a threat.

Balogun came from the bench to make it 4-1 as he slotted a pass from Nicholas Pepe, finished past the on-coming Rogers.

Five minutes to stoppage time, Dundalk pulled another goal back and it was a strike from a set-piece. Flores whipped in superbly with Hoare rising above the back to nod it home.

Next up for Arsenal is the last 32 draw on Monday.
