Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named as the coach of the century at the Globe Soccer Awards that was held in Dubai on Sunday.
The tactician has always been touted as one of the best coaches in the game having begun his career on the touchline with Barcelona in 2007, where he was the B team coach-before taking over the senior team in 2008.
He had four seasons at Camp Nou where he guided the Catalans to 14 trophies before moving to Bayern Munich in 2013. He spent another three seasons in Germany and left for Man City in 2016.
Meanwhile, Laliga giants Real Madrid were named as the team of the century. Al Ahly, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich were also in contention for the honor but Real Madrid won with 36% of the vote.
It awards concerns the past two decades from 2001 until 2020 with Real winning seven LaLiga titles, five Champions Leagues, two Copa del Rey trophies, and 15 other various honors during that period.
