­čç░­čç¬ KPL Week Six Review: Wins for Bidco and Bandari as┬áSofapaka┬ádraw Tusker┬á

The Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) Week Six fixtures came with a chunk of games happening across different pitches in the country.

At Kasarani, Tusker rallied from a goal down to hold visiting Sofapaka FC to a 1-1 draw. Captain Elli Asieche had given Sofapaka the lead in the sixth minute in what was Ken Odhiambo’s first match in charge but Tusker restored parity via Luke Namanda in the 25th minute; goals which were to prove the difference in the tie. 

In Kisumu, newbies Bidco United recorded their first win of the season after overcoming their fellow newcomers Vihiga United 1-0 in a match played at Moi Stadium-Kisumu; Nelson Chieta’s 37th-minute strike was all the visitors needed in the match. 

Other matches saw Wazito FC register a 2-1 win over Nairobi City Stars with Bandari FC, who lost winger Shaban Kenga, beating visiting Western Stima 2-0 in front of a watching Andre Cassa Mbnungo who is set to be unveiled as the club’s new head coach on Monday.
