Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans Joachim Watzke has admitted that Jadon Sancho lost focus after his summer move to Manchester United collapsed.
Sancho’s form has dipped this season but scored on Sunday in their 2-0 win over Wolfsburg and according to Watzke, the Englishman might have prepared for a change.
"Subconsciously, Jadon might have had prepared for a change. I think he had at least thought so much about it that he lost his ease. But I have found him trying very hard for weeks," the CEO told Kicker.
Despite the claims of being unhappy at the club, Sancho has scored five goals and assisted nine in 19 appearances for Dortmund this season.
The latest reports suggest that United is still interested in the player and will bid for him again in the summer if Dortmund can reduce their prize on the player.
United however seems to have moved on swiftly from the saga after acquiring the services of youngsters Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri who are naturally right-wingers; the former expected to join United this month.
