Hans Joachim Watzke Borussia has revealed that Jadon Sancho was all set to join Manchester United in the summer, but not this January.
The Dortmund CEO has thus suggested that the two teams will virtually restart negotiations ahead of July, though personal terms were previously agreed on.
“Borussia Dortmund CEO Watzke just confirmed that Jadon Sancho was ‘ready for the transfer’ to Manchester United this summer. Personal terms were agreed,” said the leading transfer Italian journalist Frabrizio Romano.
“To be clear: Jadon is *not* moving in January. The race will be on again next summer and #MUFC are expected to be involved,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Sancho marked his fifth goal in 19 games, including nine assists, as Dortmund beat Wolfsburg 2-0 in the Bundesliga.
