Lucas Piazon is finally set to leave Chelsea after nine unfulfilling years with the West London club.
The Brazilian, who arrived at the club as a 17-year-old, was dubbed the next Kaka but has failed to live to expectations.
Despite having a perfect start with the youth team, where he was named the Young Player of the Year in 2012, the now 26-year-old's career went downhill, and has since made only three appearances with the senior team.
His nightmare is set to come to an end, with his loan deal away to Rio Ave ended early as the club looks to sell him.
It's understood that three unnamed clubs are in negotiations with Chelsea to acquire his services, which should happen during this January window.
Other players whom the club is looking to offload are Danny Drinkwater and Baba Rahman, who have been training with the youth team.
Chelsea is looking to reduce the number of players out on loan, with FIFA's new regulations that allow only eight players above 22 to be loaned out thought to have played a role in forcing the Blues' hand.
