Mikel Arteta has revealed Arsenal will announce Omar Rekik's capture from Hertha Berlin once the deal is completed.
Arsenal are in the process of finalizing the transfer of Omar from Hertha Berlin as he is set to become the first club's January transfer window signing. The 19-year-old has been training with the Gunners ahead of his proposed move with the north London side set to cough £900,000 to secure the services of the Tunisian.
"We will announce it when we can, he's a young talent and we have been following him for a while," said Arteta on Thursday.
"We believe he has a very bright future, but we will give more details soon," he added.
On Folarin Balogun's future
"You need three parties to make a deal. For sure, the club wants to make a deal, the manager wants to make a deal, the player wants to stay and I'm not sure about the agent."
According to reports, Per Mertesacker, the current Arsenal academy coach, had a key part in making the deal happen.
