Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hinted at starting Sergio Aguero when they face Birmingham in an FA Cup tie on Sunday.
Aguero has endured an injury-filled season, playing just nine times in all competitions so far, but seems to have shaken the latest setback.
He racked up a few minutes during the Premier League match away to Chelsea last weekend, and Guardiola hopes he will be fit for Sunday's match.
"Yes, if he is good in these next days, he will start," Pep confirmed after City's 2-0 win over Man United in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
The Spaniard was non-committal though on whether or not Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker will start, following their recovery from the Coronavirus.
"It’s a mystery - no-one knows what happens when you get back from COVID," Pep added.
"Some recover well, some recover bad. We will see training sessions and see how they react.
"When I speak to them, they said they feel tired - ten days without training.
"But tomorrow training, next day training and we will analyse how they feel."
