Burnley FC is expected to miss the services of eight players for their Tuesday Premier League clash against Manchester United.
It is reported that the move is due to COVID protocols and despite the players not named, it is said that Josh Brownhill, Ashley Westwood, Jimmy Dunne, and Bailey Peacock-Farrell who were not involved in Saturday’s FA Cup clash against MK Dons are the players who will miss the clash.
Keeper Nick Pope, who was benched in the FA Cup game however is expected to return between the sticks but Kevin Long, Charlie Taylor, Dwight McNeil, and Jay Rodriguez are still expected to be out of the clash due to injury.
The news should be a boost for United who themselves have injury issues after it was confirmed that the quartet of Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, and Luke Shaw are all expected to miss the game.
A win for United will send them to the top of the league ahead of their weekend clash with Liverpool.
