Erling Haaland is very, very good at putting the ball in the back of the net.
The 20-year-old has scored more goals than he has played games for Borussia Dortmund after signing for the club in January last year. The Norwegian striker went on a seven-game scoring streak from 20 October to 24 November, a sequence of matches in which he scored 12 goals, including six in the Champions League. That hot streak was curtailed by injury but he's back stronger than ever, bagging a brace against RB Leipzig at the weekend.
🤖 Haaland's BVB breakdown
- 🇩🇪 25 goals in 25 Bundesliga matches
- 🏆 8 goals in 6 Champions League matches
- ✅ 1 goal in 2 DFB-Pokal matches
- 💯 1 goal in 1 DFL Super Cup match
It's surely a matter of time before Haaland's ludicrous strike rate slows down but, right now, he's one of the hottest strikers in Europe. Dortmund will need their main man firing during a jam-packed schedule of fixtures, including a round of 16 Champions League tie with Europa League holders Sevilla.
🐝 Dortmund's schedule
- 16 Jan: Mainz (H)
- 19 Jan: Leverkusen (A)
- 22 Jan: Monchengladbach (A)
- 30 Jan: Augsburg (H)

A player of Haaland's calibre and frightening potential will be desperate to deliver silverware for his club this season, and Dortmund's fixtures between now and March might have a huge bearing on that.
