Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed striker Danny Ings tested positive for COVID-19 after the Liverpool game.
Hasenhüttl was addressing the media ahead of their clash against Leicester and revealed Ings returned a positive coronavirus test after their 1-0 victory over Liverpool. Ings has been in isolation since the game and is set to resume training on Friday.
The 28-year-old netted the only goal that separated the two teams at St. Mary's but Hasenhuttle says the club has no other positive tests since.
"Danny Ings is out now. He is in self-isolation. He may have been contagious against Liverpool. We have had no other positives since," said the head coach.
Soton who are currently seventh on the log will travel to King Power Stadium on Saturday to take on Leicester City.
