Tonight's meeting of Leicester City and Chelsea at King Power Stadium will have real Champions league qualification ramifications when all is said and done.
Chelsea got a much-needed win last time out in the West London Derby against Fulham to end a three-match winless streak in the Premier League. That win lifts the Blues to 7th in the table, five points outside of the top four.
Leicester City's Foxes are third, just two points behind league leaders Manchester United and they would temporarily go top with a win here.
🧮 Predicted XIs
🦊 Leicester (3-4-1-2):
Schmeichel; Fofana, Evans, Soyüncü; Castagne, Ndidi, Tielemans, Justin; Maddison; Vardy, Barnes
🔵 Chelsea (4-2-3-1):
Mendy; James, Rüdiger, Silva, Chilwell; Jorginho, Mount, Kovačić; Ziyech, Giroud, Pulisic
It remains to be seen whether 36-year-old Thiago Silva will be ready to start another Premier League match just 72 hours after his last. If he isn't deemed fit to do so, Kurt Zouma will deputise. Croatian schemer Mateo Kovačić impressed against Fulham and should keep his place with N'Golo Kanté ruled out.
With Chelsea in need of three points to keep in touch with the European chasing pack and Leicester off the back of three consecutive wins, this should be an open contest.
