English Premier League giants are closely monitoring the progress of Real Sociedad central defender Robin Le Normand.
United has been linked with a move for a center back in the past two transfers and despite big names being thrown around for the position, United is believed to have sent scouts several times to watch the young Frenchman who is having a good season in the Laliga.
Grada3 claims that Le Normand ‘is being followed intensely by delegates from the Old Trafford club’ with the player said to be having a release clause of €75 million which is considerably higher than that of RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano but the club may believe that Sociedad would do business at a lower figure in the summer.
Upamecano has a €42 million release clause on his contract that will become active in June but apart from United, the defender is attracting interest from some of the big clubs in Europe with Chelsea FC said to have joined the race for his signature.
United has Harry Maguire as the preferred first choice at center back with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly used sparingly to partner the Frenchman; the latter having had injury issues for the most part of his United career.
