Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham might make a move for Southampton striker Danny Ings in the coming summer.
Ings future at St Mary’s remains uncertain after manager Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed on Tuesday that the player and the club were yet to agree on a new deal despite his current contract running out in 2022.
Eurosport now claims that Tottenham is monitoring the striker’s situation and might make a summer bid as they seek to look for a back up for Harry Kane.
Southampton might be forced to sell the player due to his wage demands as the Englishman has asked for an increment on his current £75,000 per week deal after managing to score 25 goals for them lasts season in all competitions.
Despite his season being derailed by an injury earlier on, Ings has scored seven goals and provided three assists this season for the Saints in the Premier League with a number of clubs said to be interested in his services too should he fail to find an agreement with the Saints.
