Rooney's seven-year record at Man United can be equaled by Rashford v Fulham

Wayne Rooney long-standing seven-year record at Man United can be equaled by Marcus Rashford on their Wednesday night tie against Fulham.

Rooney who recently retired from active football has a long-standing record of scoring in three consecutive matches in London a record that has not been beaten in seven years (November 2014).

23-year-old Rashford has scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for United in all competitions this season and will hope to add to this tally when they travel to Craven Cottage to the Scott Parker side tonight.

As reported by MEN, Should Rashford score on Wednesday, he will equal Rooney’s record with a chance to better it against Chelsea next month; the striker having netted in his last two visits in the country’s capital (against Crystal Palace during a 2-0 win in July 2020 and against West Ham during a 3-1 win last December).

The Englishman who misfired against Liverpool in United’s last game is expected to lead the visitors' attack once again with the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer men looking to go back on top of the league after Leicester displaced them with a win against Chelsea on Tuesday night.
