Martin Odegaard could be edging closer to making a switch to Arsenal after separating from his Real Madrid teammates on Thursday.
As reported here on Futaa on Friday, the 22-year-old Odegaard has seemingly turned down a loan move to Real Sociedad in favour of Arsenal, where he will replace the outgoing Mesut Ozil.
Odegaard didn’t train with Real Madrid squad on Thurs - he was inside, doing gym work etc. Group scheduled to train at 11am today so more should become clear soon. Arsenal hopeful #RMFC + the 22yo Norway int’l attacking midfielder will pick #AFC above other options @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/PILhprW2SD

Meanwhile, Arsenal will visit England’s south coast to face Southampton for some FA Cup fourth round action.
