๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ช KPL: KCB back to winning ways, Leopards maul Sharks

Kenya Premier League leaders KCB bounced back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 win over Western Stima at Afraha Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Bankers slipped to their first defeat of the season at the hands of AFC Leopards last week but were impressive at home against the Western-based side.

Simon Abuko gave the hosts the lead from the spot in the 26th minute from the penalty spot, and it was the difference going into the break.

The visitors started the second half the better side though, and it took them seven minutes to pull level, and it was Kennedy "Agogo" who found the back of the net after Orumchan fed him with a neat through pass.

The Bankers however restored their lead in the 63rd minute after Henry Onyango blasted it from close range past the Stima goalie.

Victor Omondi, who was a 70th-minute introduction ensured the hosts bagged maximum points with a cool finish moments after he came on.

The win ensured KCB moved to 21 points, one ahead of Tusker, who have played a match more.

Elsewhere, 10-man AFC Leopards beat Kariobangi Sharks to move to fourth on the table.

Elvis Rupia gave Ingwe the lead in the 11th minute, and for long it seemed enough to win them the match.

Jefari Odeny then popped up to score a second late in second-half injury time, moments after Mugheni Fabrice had been shown a red card.

Ingwe is currently placed fourth on the Kenyan Premier League table with 15 points, same as Sharks, who have an inferior goal difference.
