English Premier League giants Manchester United are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva.
While United has scored more goals than any other league rival this season, the duo of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial has failed to be consistent with the club said to be keen on another striker to replace Edinson Cavani who is not expected to be at the club for a longer period.
According to Sky Sports Germany, United are set to battle it out with Laliga giants Atletico Madrid for the services of Silva who has reinvented himself in Germany since leaving AC Milan first on a loan deal before making his move a permanent one in 2020.
The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Porto before joining AC Milan in 2017. His time at the San Siro was less than impressive and he was promptly shipped out on loan, first to Sevilla and then Frankfurt.
The striker has bagged 18 goals this season and made three assists to help his side to a third-place position in the Bundesliga.
United had been linked with a move for Dortmund star Erling Haaland but Silva looks to be a cheaper option as he is valued at €30million with his contract with the team running until 2023.
