Manchester United have two feet in the last 16 of the Europa League following a 4-0 victory over Real Sociedad.
A brace from Bruno Fernandes and goals from Marcus Rashford & Daniel James saw United take complete control in the two-legged fixture against Sociedad.
United took the lead in the 27th minute through Bruno Fernandes, who netted his 20th goal of the season. It was a right mess from Real Sociedad's perspective as Zubeldia, Le Normand, and goalkeeper Remiro all attack Rashford's brilliant lofted ball up to Fernandes. They collided in the area, gifting the ball to Fernandes, who has the simple task of stroking in a crucial away goal.
In the second half, Bruno netted his second of the evening to give United a 2-0 lead. However, the flag was up for offside but after a quick check, the goal was awarded.
Minutes later, the Red Devils made it 3-0 through Marcus Rashford. The England international was put through on goal and had a simple task, putting the ball past Sociedad's keeper.
In the stoppage time, Daniel James, who had a goal ruled out finally put his name on the scoresheet. The winger was put through on the right flank, he made a run and finished by himself to make it 4-0.
Real Sociedad remain winless in five games against English opponents in European competition (D1 L4) – they have failed to score in each of the last four, with three of those coming against Manchester United.
