🇰🇪 KPL: AFC Leopards stun Kakamega Homeboyz, Bandari edge Ulinzi Stars and Sharks maul KCB

AFC Leopards' impressive start to the season continued with a hard-fought 2-1 win away to Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday.

Ingwe went into the match hoping to make it two wins in a row following their success over Ulinzi last time out, and they did it against the 13th-placed Western Kenya-based side.

The visitors got off to a perfect start when Clyde Senaji unleashed a lovely hit in the 18-yard area, beating the goalkeeper with ease for a 1-0 lead.

Ingwe were forced into an early change as Robinson Kamura replaced Tedian Esilaba, who was unable to continue after picking an injury after six minutes.

Elvis Rupia came close to adding a second in the 19th minute, but his shot was deflected wide.

He was not to be denied though in the 28th minute as he scored Leopards' second, a thunderbolt from distance after Marvin dispossessed a Homeboys player in the middle of the field to set him up.

Homeboyz almost pulled one back in the 35th minute, but Ochan wonderfully kept out the danger in a one-on-one situation.

They thought they had halved the deficit just before the break, but their goal was ruled out for offside.

Allan Wanga then scored in the 57th minute to set up a tense last half-an-hour, but Ingwe held on for the win despite the hosts knocking on their goal on a number of occasions.

At the Kericho Green Stadium, Ulinzi stars suffered a second successive defeat after going down 2-0 to Mombasa-based Bandari FC.

Keegan Ndemi and Darius Mnyambo scored the two goals in the second half, ensuring they build on their last win, a 1-0 victory away to Ulinzi Stars.

At Moi International Kasarani, KCB were stunned by a disciplined Kariobangi Sharks 3-0.

Eric Kapaito gave Sharks an early lead after just two minutes, and Boniface Onyango made it 2-0 just before the half-hour mark.

James Mazembe then ensured maximum points in the second half, which moved them to fifth on the standings.
