Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has credited Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez as a player with a unique quality.
The 30-year-old attacker delivered one of his grandest nights in a blue shirt on Tuesday night where City beat Wolves 4-1, with Mahrez providing an assist and goal as the cherry on top of a superb performance.
“The last games were outstanding. He played really well. He has a special quality,” Guardiola said via the club’s website.
“He is a guy who dances on the pitch. He doesn’t lose balls on the pitch. He makes the extra pass. He attracts opponents on the pitch and after he makes a pass in behind.
“He makes fantastic crosses. We knew it.
“At Leicester, he was outstanding with Jamie Vardy. That’s why we pushed for him. We hope he can continue,” Pep concluded.
Meanwhile, City lead the Premier League with 15 points, before welcoming Manchester United to the Etihad this weekend.
