Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has vowed to fight for his place once he returns to the Emirates from his loan spell with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
Guendouzi signed for Berlin on loan in the summer for the remainder of the season after falling out of favor under Mikel Arteta. The Frenchman, whose contract with Arsenal is set to expire at the end of next season, didn't feature for the north London side between June and October.
The 21-year-old is set to return to Arsenal at the end of the current season and has promised to give his all to win over Aeteta next season.
"I am focused on my season with Hertha Berlin. Next, we will sit down with my entourage and people at the club to discuss the future," he told France Football.
"This summer will be a decisive moment. I belong to Arsenal for another year. From the moment that I am playing for Arsenal, I will give everything to the club, fans, team, and staff. I will work hard for the shirt as I have always done."
The midfielder has made 19 appearances for Berlin, who are in the relegation playoff zone with nine games remaining.
