Mohammed Salah chasing a new record with Liverpool in Madrid tie

Egyptian forward Mohammed Salah will be chasing a new record with Liverpool tonight when they take on Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Only four players have scored in four consecutive European appearances for Liverpool and Salah will join that exclusive group if he can get a goal against the Zinedine Zidane side tonight.

The four are Steven Gerrard (twice), Roger Hunt, Robbie Fowler, and Djibril Cisse achieved the feat with Gerrard the most recent to do so when he registered in five successive games in 2007-08.

Salah boasts of 25 goals in 43 Champions League appearances for Liverpool took his tally for the season to 26 in all competition after netting against Arsenal last Saturday.
