Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is considering giving left-back Marcelo a starting berth in their Tuesday night clash against Liverpool.
Marcelo has rarely featured for Madrid this season and has only been reduced to ten appearances but according to Marca, the Brazilian might be given the nod following the hosts' defensive crisis.
Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, and Dani Carvajal are among the absentees for Los Blancos and the entrance of Marcelo will force the team to resort back to a back three formation with Ferlan Mendy operating as a left wing-back
32-year-old is one of the long-serving players at Madrid having clocked up 520 matches for the club since joining from Fluminense in January 2007. He has won 22 trophies with the club including five league titles and four Champions League crowns and his experience in the game is considered a key thing for Zidane if they are to pick any positive result against the Jurgen Klopp side.
