Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund are open to listening to new offers for winger Jadon Sancho.
Was heavily linked with a move to United last summer but a deal didn’t materialize owing to Dortmund’s asking prize but according to the club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently, they will consider selling the player if they receive “exceptional offers”.
The 21-year-old currently has two years remaining on his contract at Dortmund and has been one of the most coveted players in world football. Since joining Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City, Sancho has scored 46 goals and racked up 60 assists in 130 appearances for the German club.
United are still the frontrunners to sign despite having spent a chunk of getting Amad Diallo from Atalanta. The English side lacks a natural high-class right-sided winger, with the likes of Mason Greenwood and Daniel James still developing their games.
Apart from United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are the other teams said to be interested in the player; the latter said to be keen if they lose Mohammed Salah who has been linked with a move to Spain.
Hans-Joachim Watzke (Borussia Dortmund CEO): "Jadon Sancho has been with us much longer than Erling Haaland. We'll have to speak to Jadon too. If there is an exceptional offer we will discuss it with the player and the agent, as always." #mulive [goal]— utdreport (@utdreport) April 5, 2021
