Borussia Dortmund will still miss the services of Jadon Sancho in their Wednesday night Champions League clash with Manchester City.
Sancho returned to training this week ahead of the tie after being out for a period of time with an injury and while many expected him to play a part in the Wednesday game, coach Edin Terzić told the media that the Englishman was not ready for the tie.
“We have some players who are struggling at the moment. This afternoon and tomorrow, we’ll see who is fit enough but Sancho is unfortunately not an option for us in this game. He (Sancho) trained with us again and he’s doing his best. We’d love to have him available but he won’t be,” Terzic said.
Apart from Sancho, the interim coach also admitted that both Marco Reus and Mats Hummels are also doubtful due to carrying knocks.
Dortmund will hope that they have all their important players fir for the game as they are trailing 2-1 from the first leg in Manchester.
