Manchester United is in no hurry to decide the fate of striker Edinson Cavani.
There have been reports that the English giants are already in the market for a striker after it emerged that the Uruguayan is on his way to Boca Juniors but with no official communication yet for the player, United is prepared for any eventuality.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, United has made no movement yet to clear up the player’s future. Romano states that the club has not received any official or final position from Cavani yet, so the club’s board is still waiting to have a new meeting at the end of the season with the player to decide together about the future.
It is not clear too whether United is looking for a striker as a replacement for Cavani or addition to him with manager Solskajer still having Anthony Martial as his preferred man to lead the club’s attack.
The presence of Cavani is said to be a boost for United’s attack as he brings he puts the other strikers under pressure to bring out of them with the club eager to let youngsters like Mason Green learn from him.
