Reports: Liverpool will not sign Ozan Kabak this summer

Liverpool are allegedly not interested in signing Schalke 04 center-back Ozan Kabak on a permanent basis this summer.

The 21-year-old joined Liverpool on loan in January and has played 13 times for the Reds in all competitions, including nine Premier League appearances.

Jurgen Klopp's side seemed to be on the verge of paying the £18 million needed to convert the loan into a permanent deal ahead of the 2021-22 season at one stage.

Klopp, however, does not believe Kabak will be a first-team regular next season when Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Joel Matip return to fitness, according to The Sun.

As a result, the Reds will return the defender to his parent club, who are likely to try to sell him due to their financial difficulties.

Injury has kept the Turkey international out of Liverpool's last two Premier League games against Southampton and Manchester United.
