Keane takes sly dig at Vieira

Before the pair line up next one another in the television studio this summer, Roy Keane has made a subtle dig at Patrick Vieira.

The former Manchester United captain couldn't stop himself when talking about his former Arsenal counterpart, who would be appearing on ITV as part of their EURO 2020 coverage.

While the two have been bitter rivals for several seasons in the Premier League, it is evident that Keane still likes riling Vieira. When Gary Neville and Micah Richards of Sky Bet spoke with me about the panel of commentators ITV will be employing for the competition, we got to talking about the panel of experts ITV will be employing.

The Cork native detailed how his connection with the French World Cup champion has blossomed in a video including Roy Keane, Vieira, Neville, Ian Wright, Graeme Souness, and Eni Aluko.

When Keane's former teammate Neville inquired aloud if Vieira was still in charge of Nice in France's Ligue 1, the Irishman responded with another jab at the Frenchman.

"Yeah, he just panders to me, and that's it," responded Keane when the question of how he gets on with Vieira was put to him.

"He just lost another job," he remarked, "yeah.

"Why do you think he's doing punditry? He lost his job. That's why we're all ******* doing it!"
