Arsenal has reportedly contacted Manchester United over the availability of midfielder Donny van de Beek.
De Beek had a tough debut season at United after joining last summer from Ajax despite showing huge potential in his time in the Eredivisie. 90min now reports that the Mikel Arteta side now wants to try offering Van de Beek a fresh opportunity and has contacted United about a potential move.
The player is said not to be happy with his role at Man United and with his Euro campaign cut short by an injury, the player is already weighing his options in the summer. While his agent has rebuffed claims before that the player was unhappy at the club, moving his client on a loan deal has been seen as a viable option.
The midfielder was linked with a move to Inter Milan in January but it didn’t materialize and while he can still stay at United to fight for his place, he knows that he will have to work extra hard to dislodge someone like Bruno Fernandes from the starting team.
