History for Own Goals in Euros

While a lot of talks have been on the goals scored by some of the established strikers in Europe, a slight talk has been given to own goals.

This is coming after the Portugal duo of Rùben Dias and Raphaël Guerreiro bagged their own goals in their 4-2 loss to Germany on Saturday night.

The two goals mean that Euro 2020 has seen more own goals (5) than any other European Championship in history, with the previous record standing at three.

Their own goals also meant that Germany became the first team in Euro history to benefit from their own goal and their own strikes in a Euro tournament.
