Two Arsenal youngsters complete permanent moves away from the club

Arsenal have confirmed two of their youngsters have completed permanent moves away from the club.

Zech Medley and Trae Coyle have joined Belgian side KV Oostende and Swiss Super League side FC Lausanne–Sport respectively in permanent moves.

Medley, a 20-year-old defender, spent the first half of the season at League One side Gillingham, before moving to Scottish side Kilmarnock.

Medley joined Arsenal's academy in December 2016 from Chelsea and went on to captain the under-18s at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, before becoming a regular in the under-23s.

He has regularly trained with the first-team squad and in October 2018, was named in the first-team matchday squad, and was an unused sub for the home Premier League match against Leicester City.

Trae, just like Medley, spent the first half of last season on loan at Gillingham, where he scored two goals from his 13 appearances with the Kent club, before returning to the club in January.

The club wished the two all the best as they start on a new journey.

"Everyone at the club wishes Trae and Medley all the best in the next stages of their careers and we thank them for their contributions to Arsenal,"
