FKFPL: Ulinzi Stars stun Wazito FC in Nakuru

Wazito FC suffered a 2-1 loss to Ulinzi Stars on Wednesday evening in the FKF Premier League match staged at ASK Grounds Nakuru.

It was a brilliant start for Ulinzi Stars, seeing much of the possession and had the ball in the back of the net but could not stand as the flag for up for offside.

Kevin Kimani had the chance to hand Wazito the lead in the 14th minute but his freekick hit the bar.

Six minutes later, Ulinzi Stars opened the scoring through Bikokwa Mark, a well-deserved lead after controlling the game in early exchanges.

The Soldiers doubled their lead in the 33rd minute through Brian Birgen whose strike saw Fredrick Odhiambo beaten for the second time.

Ten minutes to stoppage Wazito reduced the deficit through Kevin Kimani, beating James Saruni from a free-kick spot.

Wazito now miss the chance to go on above Bandari FC and Nairobi City Stars as they remain eighth on the log with 34 points.

Meanwhile, Ulinzi Stars move up to 10th on the log, above Sofapaka FC.
