Arsenal are planning to offer midfielder Granit Xhaka a new contract.
Xhaka has been heavily linked with a move to AS Roma but recent reports claim the Serie A club's pursuit of the midfielder has come to an end.
The Swiss has two years left on his current deal so the Gunners are not in any real need to sell if the money isn’t right.
Despite the arrival of Albert Sambi Lokonga who is seen as a young, promising talent who could become a first-team regular, in the long run, there still remains a place alongside Thomas Partey in the heart of Arsenal’s midfield.
Xhaka will be hoping that this potential second chance will help him make that position his own.
Arsenal are offering Granit Xhaka a new deal until June 2025 with an increased salary - more than what AS Roma are proposing in their contract bid. ⚪️🔴 #AFC

AS Roma last bid was €12m + €3m add ons, turned down. Arsenal are now confident to extend Xhaka contract soon.
