Bayern Munich not willing to sell Lewandowski

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are not willing to let go of striker Robert Lewandowski despite the player's desire for a new challenge.

It was reported on Thursday that the striker had informed his club that he wanted to leave but as things are turning out, the club considers him a key member of the squad and will do everything to retain him this summer.

The Athletic claim that Bayern Munich have not set a price tag on the soon-to-be 33-year-old and is unwilling to sell the player at any price.

Earlier reports had indicated that Bayern was looking for a fee of well over £100m for the player but appears that Lewandowski, who is undoubtedly one of the Ballon d’Or front-runners after his record-breaking Bundesliga goal-tally last season, will be staying put.

The former Dortmund hitman is under contract until 2023 and has already made his mark this season, bagging three goals in his first two games.
