Raphael Varane has lauded Paul Pogba's "good vibes" in the team and is looking forward to the challenge of helping the club win the title once more.
When he joined the Premier League heavyweights in a £34 million transfer from Real Madrid in August, the France international linked forces with his compatriot.
Varane's future with United is unclear, with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola telling Rai Sport on Friday that "there's still a chance" his client might return to Juventus, especially since his contract expires next summer.
For the time being, everyone at Man United is focused on Sunday's trip to West Ham, where they will try to maintain their Premier League lead after collecting 10 points in their first four league games.
"Paul spoke to me about the club, about the atmosphere, about the expectations," Varane told Sky Sports.
"He is a great player but he also has very good, positive energy. He is a leader for the group. I've known him for a very long time so I'm happy to play with him."
