Coastal side Bandari FC went on top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier league (FKFPL) log following their 3-2 win over Bidco United on Saturday.
Bandari opened their season with a 3-0 win over Mathare United and followed it with another win over Bidco United in week two to take their points tally to six; the same number of points as Ulinzi Stars who have an inferior goal difference.
Despite having a chunk of their senior player leaving the team, AFC Leopards kept another clean sheet after holding KCB FC to a goalless draw in week two-the win coming after their shock win against Tusker FC in the opening game of the season a fortnight ago.
Kenya Police are finding it hard in the top flight despite roping in some of the best players in the country in John Makwatta and Clifford Alwanga; who both featured in their loss to Nairobi City Stars over the weekend.
But Police isn't the only team yet to record any points this season with Mathare United joining them as the other team with zero points; the slum boys, under the tutelage of coach Ezekiel Akwana, having lost against Bandari and Ulinzi Stars.
Action resumes on Wednesday this week with a total of seven games on the cards; the pick of the bunch being the Mashemeji Derby where AFC Leopards will be hosting Gor Mahia in Kasarani.
