Erling Haaland agent Mino Raiola has intimated that his client might be headed to Spain in the summer.
Haaland is strongly linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund with a chunk of teams ready to trigger a release clause on his contract which becomes active in the summer with Real Madrid and Barcelona being some of the teams said to be interested in him.
The Norwegian goal machine is still under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024 and reportedly has a €75 million release clause injected in his current deal.
In an interview relayed by Spanish outlet Deportes Cuatro via IBT, Raiola when asked about the player's future said: “At the moment you cannot talk about anything if you want about Christmas. I do not talk about the market.
“Haaland likes Spain, he really likes his home in Spain. Afterward, it is too early to say where he is going to play next year. It is not good either.”
While Haaland might be angling at a move, Dortmund is doing all they can to convince the player to stay.
"Of course, we are trying to give him the feeling that Borussia Dortmund continues to be a top address for him and that he can still develop here,” Dortmund's head of first-team football Sebastian Kehl told German outlet BILD of Haaland.
The Norwegian who is currently out with an injury has already bagged 13 goals in just 10 matches across all competitions this season.
