🦁 English Premier League: Latest standings after midweek action

The Premier League will enter Matchweek 15 this weekend following the conclusion of midweek clashes on Thursday night.

Two teams though, Tottenham and Burnley, are still on 13 matches each, after their weekend clash was postponed due to bad weather.

The week started with two matches on Tuesday night as Newcastle settled for a 1-1 draw against Norwich, while Leeds United beat Crystal Palace 1-0.

Wednesday night saw a total of six matches, with all the three teams at the top winning their respective clashes.

The biggest win of the night was at Goodison Park as Liverpool thrashed rivals Everton 4-1, with Mohamed Salah striking a brace.

At Vicarage Road, league leaders Chelsea narrowly beat Watford 2-1, in a match that was halted for half an hour as a fan received emergency treatment after suffering a cardiac arrest.

At Villa Park, Manchester City saw off a spirited Aston Villa to keep pace with the leaders.

It was a battle of the old foes on Thursday night as Man United hosted Arsenal in what was Michael Carrick's last match in charge.

It served all the drama from Arsenal's first goal that angered Man United to a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty that eventually won it.

The Portuguese also broke the 800-goal barrier with the brace.
