Jurgen Klopp reveals why they wont sign Erling Haaland

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given a reason why the club won't be signing Erling Haaland in the summer.

The tussle in the summer is expected on the striker with some of the biggest clubs in Europe said to be interested in his services.

In an interview with SportBild (via Gol), the German said: “We won’t be going there. The numbers involved are just crazy – we’ll be having nothing to do with it. No chance! To be honest, I don’t want anything to do with it. It’s not fun.”

Haaland is reported to have a release clause of roughly £64m with Chelse, the Manchester clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona all said to be preparing a big for him in the coming months.

The player is said to prefer a move to Spain even though City and Chelsea might snap him should they meet his demands which have been set by his agent Mino Raiola.

The Merseysiders had been linked with the player though the price-tag (despite the cut-price nature of the reduced fee) and wage demands are far from representing what owners, FSG, are generally prepared to sanction.
