GOtv Shield: City Stars to step up

Tusker Premier League side Nairobi City Stars may have qualified for the round of 16 in the ongoing GOtv Shield tournament but they are aware of the challenge that is ahead of them.

The Team Manager Laurence Njenga in a communiqué to futaa.com admitted that they will have to step up their efforts if they wish to clinch the title.

Tougher opponents

-We managed to win the match but that was no easy task since our opponents were very determined to get that ticket.

-This means that we need to step up our efforts in the next round since it will not be easier, he added.

Nairobi City Stars were forced to wait for a last minute own goal to gain passage into the next round after missing a penalty in their match against University side Wazito FC.

They will play first tier league defending champions Tusker FC in the next round at a yet to be announced date.
