New Harambee Stars call up David Sesay is being tracked by English Championship side West Bromwich Albion according to reports from the UK.

Sesay who can play as a right back or a left back received his first call up to the Kenyan national team last week ahead of their last 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers tie against Ghana slated for this month.

Reports from the UK however indicate that the defender is keen to help save his club stave off relegation; the defender having impressed in League Two this season playing on the left rather than his favored right side.


The uncapped 20-year-old is grateful for Kenya's interest but wants to help make sure Crawley are not sucked into a relegation scrap. They current sit nine points ahead of the drop zone.

Kenya are facing Ghana in an African Cup of Nations qualifying game on March 21, just two days before Crawley face Lincoln.

It is believed a chunk of clubs watched Crawley's fixture at MK Dons last Saturday afternoon to run the rule over Sesay as he continues to generate interest but West Brom appear to be the frontrunners for a youngster who would expect to cost in the region of £350,000.

Sesay came through Watford's renowned academy and made the switch to Crawley last summer.
