After numerous reports emerged linking him with a move to Manchester United, Toby Alderweireld has insisted that he is happy at Tottenham Hotspur.

United have been on the market for a central defender and have been linked with Alderweireld despite missing out on him in the summer transfer window. Entering the final year of his contract with the club this season, Tottenham triggered the one-year extension at the start of the campaign, but that extension came with a catch that Spurs must accept any bid of £25million for the Belgian this summer, should such an offer come in before the final two weeks of the transfer window.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Alderweireld revealed that he is happy at Spurs, "There's a lot to play for this season and at the end I have a year contract left at Spurs and I don't look further than this season. I'm very happy at Spurs and we'll see what the future brings.

"I still feel very fit, I've played a lot of minutes this season, I've shown I'm fit, I don't feel 30, I feel younger, I'm very happy, I try to watch game by game and there's a lot to play for this season so I'll give my best for that."
