Ulinzi Stars has confirmed that Kenya U23 midfielder Ibrahim Shambi will sit out of the Thursday 9 May Kenyan Premier League tie against Posta Rangers FC.

In an update on the club’s website, Shambi will miss the clash as he continues to nurse a thigh injury he in the loss to Bandari FC at the Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa.

Apart from Shambi, the team will miss the services of defender Brian Birgen, who sustained a facial cut in their last outing against Nzoia Sugar FC; these as confirmed by the club’s doctor John Imboywa.

Apart from the duo, the soldiers will be without the services of Boniface Okinyi who suffered a groin injury in the same Bandari game.

Daniel Waweru, who suffered an ankle injury in April in the game against Western Stima had a recurrence of the injury in training ahead of the Gor Mahia game at Afraha Stadium and has also been put on extended rest.
